Natural Beauty

These are the first of a series of drawings which I'm creating towards the theme of natural beauty. I'm hoping to build a strong portfolio focusing on this sort of subject matter as I think its much more interesting and original than some of my more recent work. I'm quite pleased with the outcome of these drawings too as they were quite a challenge to produce and I've learn't alot during the process.

Bono

From a personal point of view I feel my work has undergone a sudden surge of improvement so having already worked from this image I decided to do it again to see what aspects I have improved upon and what still needs to be refined.

Final Storyboard Drawings

These are some of the final drawings made towards the animated storyboard. 10 scenes were completed in total. Overall I'm not 100% happy with all of the drawings and I don't think my drawing ability would be good enough for a larger project.... something I'll have to work on! However, I'm very greatful to have been given the opportunity as the experience was well worth it.

Some final drawings...

These drawings are a bit more finished than previous ones because less animation will be used. This scene in particular is more about the atmosphere and emotion than movement.

Animated Storyboard

These are some of the drawings made towards an animated storyboard I'm currently in the process of making for a feature film. The style is purposely broad and niave in order to be easily animated and above all - clear.

some completed pages

A first look at some completed pages. I'm really excited about the way the novel seems to be developing and the way everything is fitting together, both visually and narratively.

I've started to experiment a little with biro pen as I really like the harshness of the lines and the roughness of it all. For some reason I've latched on to the theme of 'The Circus' and have begun focussing on clowns etc.
